We mentioned Tanger Outlet Center – this retail outlet in Dalton, which doesn’t appear to have a webpage of its own, is located just over an hour from Atlanta and has almost 40 different stores. These stores vary from apparel stores like Izod, Jockey and Van Heusen to a nice candy store like Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Personally, we like to visit the chocolate shop and the Van Heusen store. However, there are stores for books, kitchenware, footwear and many other items.
If you like Mexican food, our favorite restaurants are GARCIA'S and LOS PABLOS. 
If you like "hanging out" dining, our favorites are Applebees's and Chili's.
We like kayaking and rafting on the Ocoee River, under an hour away... and sight-seeing at the Tennessee Aquarium, just 30 minutes away.
